COOKING

- reminds me of home -

n of cos, not juz abt reminisence, we get to EAT THEM after cooking!! haha..

i made a phone call back some time back, to get the recipe (of lemon chicken, as well as another vege dish) from my mum, n of cos, to hear her voice.. and its comforting to know tat my family is safe n sound in spore..

the lemon chicken, wasn't very similar to wat my mum cooks lah, cos we dun hav honey.. haha.. and it was tried last week, but i forgot to bring my camera for tat dinner, so din manage to take a pic.. haha.. so, shall blog about the four-season pods dish (2nd attempt) tat really reminds me of my mum ('s cooking).. hehe..

四季豆 - or in-my-own-translation four-season pods.. haha.. although its juz frying the carrots with the pods, my mum will always add some pork into it..

its juz simple seasoning of the thinly-sliced pork with soya sauce, pepper n salt, den lightly coated with corn flour, den pan-fried, and fried together with the vege, add some oyster sauce, sugar n salt to taste..

tats, in my opinion, an almost-perfect dish of vege, complete with wonderful memories from home..

u DIDN'T realise tat there's more carrots den 四季豆s.. haha.. cos carrots r ALOT CHEAPER den the 四季豆s lah.. haha.. so to cut cost, there is limited 四季豆s topped with ALOT of carrots.. haha..

a simple, peaceful sunday dinner.. probably the calm feelings i hav been seeking after the choppy sea of emotions i went thru last week..

plus a good (2nd best attempt in my opinion) carbonara as main course..

plus the surprise of McFries bought by kendrick who came back from his church service..

plus flipping ikea catalogue and playing dai-dee on a sunday evening!!

life is all about enjoyment..

and reliving those moments ain't it?!

letting go of those bad memories..

and starting everyday afresh with a open heart..

and peace will find its way to everyone..

on a happier note, i am so glad i am not forgotten.. @ Dilys' 21st bdae party, Dilys, Benny and Yenny "took" photoS with me, and tagged me in facebook.. haha.. its SO hilarious lah.. i juz burst out laughing in front of my computer!! =D take a look..
