DTU in a week

a simple summary, life is boring in DTU.. haha..

mayb cos school hasn't started lah.. so the 5 of us here r juz bumping ard and trying to get used to life here.. it wasn't easy, but we accomodate to each other n tried to make things better n fun!

here's wat we hav been up to for the past 5 days..

at the changi airport, all ready to board the plane after all the checks..

first "supper" of fish with rice, and "breakfast" of egg omelette and sausage..

first sunrise, on plane.. awww, i love dis pic.. so emo yet lovely..

DTU, outside our "container" blowing smoke..

grocery shopping in Lyngby, as well as looking at the beautiful flowers..

shopping @ IKEA, Denmark..

unpacked my stuff from the luggage, hanging my clothings, laying out the bottles of toiletries, storing food etc.. as well as making my bed.. transformed from a sofa bed provided to wat i sleep on everynite....

first time cooking with the dudes..

first lunch of salmon @ IKEA, and first dinner of maggi mee @ DTU.. was keeping things simple first.. the real cooking, starts the 2nd day.. haha.. cos we wanted to rest early, after a long not-so-well-rested-sleep on the 13.5hours flight from singapore to copenhagen..

the satisfied singaporeans with homecooked MAGGI MEE.. haha..

oh com'on, give us a break.. haha.. we had 13.5 hours of flight to reach denmark, and 2 trains (45mins)to get us thru from denmark airport to copenhagen to lyngby, followed by a bus ride (10mins) to get us to DTU..

for the geo-idiots: denmark is one of the scandanevia countries, beside sweden n above germany.. it has 406 islands, of which oni 78 r inhabited by danes.. copenhagen is the capital of denmark, housing 1.2million out of its 5.4million pple population.. lyngby is 10km north of copenhagen, but is considered part of "GREATER COPENHAGEN"..

settled all the accomodation stuff, went to IKEA 2 bus stops (pretty far away from each other though) to get comforter cover n pillow, den walked to lyngby (thinking tat its near, but the walk took us like 30mins or so) to do some grocery shopping at NETTO (the supermarket with the cheapest of groceries)..

walking from DTU to lyngby is like 20mins, else the bus ride of 5-10mins cost like $3.60 liao.. so it depends on the weather shd we decide to walk or not.. they go by "zones" and not the length of ur travel or how u get to another place.. so yar..

if there is train, take it, cos its faster yet cost the same, since its "zone" dependent.. the minimum to be paid is already $3.60, can't imagine if we were to travel more rite?! haha..

at the end of the day, i juz wanted to retire early for the nite.. its been pretty draining, physically, and emotionally.. the weakened heart has yet to recover, and seeing things brought over from s'pore makes my mind a little bit better..

oni a little.. i am still tinking of things back at home..
