of HOCKEY and girls

ok, moving on, was the IHG Hockey girls matches..

amanda, the girls' team captain, ask me if i can coach the girls lar, so i took it up and gave my best to bring out the best from the girls.. from simple stickwork, to simple drills, and moving on to attack and defence tactics, giving the girls (mostly inexperienced i would say) pretty much exposure in the short training span.. along the way, denis and weijing was roped in to cover some aspects that i wasn't as well proficient in (like denis for defence short-corner as i oni do attack short corner, and weijing for positive talks etc etc..)

so here comes the results..

KR vs RH : 2 - 0
KR vs TH : 1 - 2
KR vs KE : 1 - 0
KR vs SH : 1 - 0
KR vs EH : 0 - 1

overall : 3th..

if we had drew with, or won EH at the last match, we would hav gotten 2nd man.. shit.. wasted.. we took them on both in attacks and defence, but all was neither threatening to both teams.. 0-0 was almost confirm, until the very last minute, a short corner was given to EH (for dunnoe wat foul lar, heard its 5yards, BUT i was pretty sure our girls did form the defence 5yards away..) and they scored using tat one attack chance.. damnit rite?! but wat to do, so we had to settle for the 3rd placing..

records : the girls stopped scoring since 4 years ago.. and dis IHG, they manage to put in 5 goals into the opponents' net! also, we are the oni team to score against TH for the past 2 years.. TH is like a dream team lar, beautiful passes and stops, and runs, and everything lar.. so how to even get into their 25yards is one BIG problem there.. BUT we are not to be neglected too.. no star players, yet we threatened to shake EH off the top 2 positions.. tats how lethal a TEAM can get..
