lets take the following equation tat leads to a man's equation of happiness..
f(x) +
f(y) +
f(z) =
happiness x, y and z all matters to the person EQUALLY, but in undefined ranking priorities.. or rather, the person is unable to rank them in accordance to importance..
x was thought to matter the most.. however, x was so disappointing, tat the time rate of change of x,
dx/dt, seems to be forever negative, and as t increase, x decrease.. as such, it results in a decrease in happiness..
y was thought to be of lesser importance among the 3.. but in recent times, it has proven not to be so.. in fact, it is so important tat as
f(x) falls,
f(y) was thought to be the counter-function such tat
dy/dt will counter the decrease in
f(x) by the larger increase in
f(y).. y should support x, but somehow, x and y seem to be mutually exclusive and unable to establish any relation.. as such,
f(y) somehow seem to fall short of expectation, and
dy/dt seem to add on the disappointment, causing further decrease in happiness..
z was supposed to be what everyone will deem as most important, and hoped to be really that case.. cos as
integral of f(z) tends to A,
f(z) will tend to A, and as
integral of f(z) tends to D,
f(z) will tend to D.. A is an additive function towards happiness, while D is a subtractive function of happiness.. and past records have shown that hardwork will bring the integral towards A and away from D.. as such, everyone should noe tat as more time is spend on
f(z), happiness will be brought to a higher level.. subjectively,
f(z) may or may not be so important that the other 2 functions become insignificant, such tat
f(z) = happiness..
so doesn't it sound like everyone should strive for
f(z) =
happiness, since
f(x) and
f(y) is so subjective to time, and is subjected to fluctuation, the functions unclearly defined themselves..
hmm, me, i rather hav all 3 functions in my life.. clearly
f(z) will never be enough to clearly define my happiness..
i hav to endure enough t, such tat
dx/dt starts to become positive, cos
dx^2/dt^2 is positive, and i believe
dx/dt is at its minimum already.. and hopefully scientific advancement or at least "willingness" is able to establish the link between x and y.. i trust y, such tat
f(y) will not be a disappointment, and that
f(y) will be able to give the most significant contribution to happiness..
f(z) will juz be allocated enough time and hardwork so that
dz/dt is kept constant, so that
f(z) will not decrease or cause a dip to happiness..
conclusion, its up to an individual to define the functions.. the more the functions, the more evenly distributed will happiness be, and any fluctuation in any will be buffered and not catch any individual off-guard.. HOWEVER, too many functions will cost less attention to be given to any given function, and easily make any one of the functions seem insignificant.. if all functions are neglected and fail together, BIG TROUBLE LOOMS..
lastbut not least, i enjoy
x, love
y, and need
z to provide bright future..
