story: thx to jeremy tan lin keat (sorry, juz had to say out ur full name).. one fine day, when i was still a trainee during the ns time, i was scheduled for monitoring of other controllers, i.e. my name was written as baolai-mon on the whole white board.. n it happened tat tat particular day, i was the oni trainee, n the oni one to monitor other pple.. so, jeremy tan lin keat saw the board n said :"wa, y so many baolai-mons!! eh, baolai-mon baolai-mon, sound damn nice hor!! c, jeremy-mon, or linkeat-mon, or ethan-mon or joseph-mon all sound so awkward.. oni baolai-mon sound nice!!!" n he actually managed to convince everyone, n there u hav it, baolai-mon.. yar, as in pokemon-baolaimon.. -_-'''

second: bernand
story: during my ns time, my dyco (no.2 boss) cannot and/or refuse (or juz wanted to tease me) to remember my chinese name, and insist tat i hav sumthing more easy to remember n pronounce.. out of the blue, he pad on my shoulders n said 'from now on, u r bernard'(as in ber-nerd).. n he happily announced to the whole unit, 'call him bernard'.. warau.. =S so my very nice fren-cum-colleague, ethan, try to help n make it more atas by pronouncing it as ber-nord..

third: brian
story: den to me, aiyah, juz find a simple one lor, n common one, so can use in uni as well.. n uni will go orientation lah, different module mates lah etc etc etc, baolai is not particularly easy to remember anywayz, so yar, i juz choose brian over bobby lah or watever nonsense..

Bluetooth: cos i had blue braces during my ns time, so goh cm saw my blue tooth(braces), n called me bluetooth(those damn cool high-tech electronic hp stuff)..

first n foremore, thanks to freddy tat i can still post my entry..

wa-rau!! damn suai lar, kana the stooopid computer virus (the MSN one now tats going ard like free one!!) basket, made my computer keep on popping out the stooopid msg 'a virus is detected, but cannot be deleted'.. being a computer idiot, if the computer can't resolve it, dun expect me to be able to help lah.. haha.. so how? i could hav juz bw waiting for death of my comp lor..

HENG, my saviour came along, all the way to my room n do some damn chiam processes tat ELIMINATED the god-damn stooooooooopid virus..

sorry had to whine, but really, can those pple out there who got nothing better to do, find sumnthing CONSTRUCTIVE to be, instead of creating some bugs or viruses to keep other pple busy.. (in this light, even juz sitting there n shaking ur god-damn legs aso better than creating those viruses lor!!)

DnD

Juz a recap of my hall DnD held on 10 Sep.. Yep, tot i shd blog it down b4 it becomes too embedded in my limited memory storage space.. hee.. Yap, was in the Manhunt.. We did a couple of catwalks and 2 dances as part of the judging criteria(50%) and the votes by the audience(50%).. we were representing our blocks, so in a way, if more people from your block turns up, u will have more supporters from the floor, the higher ur chance of winning..

Sadly, my block oni filled up a little more than 1 table, while the winner(Nathan) had 3 plus tables of supporters from his block.. well, i guess its oni natural that the supporters are biased and vote for their block representative.. THATS Y I LOST!!! haha..

no lah no lah.. joking oni.. Apart from the supporters' part, Nathan(the long curl-ri hair guy) is really good looking (looks like Bae Yong Jong lar!! damn, y ain't it me who looks like some superstar, like brad pitt or beckham or something.. =P.. haha..) and mananges to put his act togther after some hard practises.. initially his dance cannot make it one, but with my help, he improved alot lar.. haha.. yar, i always suan his dance one.. haha..

My partner (Nicole) was a great companion.. she is very steady and works hard to put up a good show for the audience and her boyfren (who came all the way down from KL for juz that 1 nite u noe!!! so sweet n loving.. awwww...).. Oh yar, alot of pple commented (including me) that she look like LIN XIN RU lar!!! yar, really beautiful.. n i guess she might have lost bcos of the same reason as me.. fewer support and strong competitor.. yar.. but its ok, we r cool abt it.. really really..

overall all the participants had a great time togther and afterall, its the experience that counts, not the winning part.. WO~~

n if it does, this will juz b a short blog, next time den give the bulk installation.. yar, the poster was printed for my hall DnD sometime back in September.. was in the pageant.. (though din win lah, not handsome enough mah!! dun probe leh, painful memories leh.. haha..) quite an experience though.. tot of it cos we (the pageant contestants) did a dance as performance to the audience who attended the DnD and supported us.. yar, dance - dance.. * aso see ICN..* YAY!!! haha..

tonite concluded the much awaited Internal Cultural Nite (erm, not really anticipated lah, but juz one of THE event of the year.. haha..)

yep, i am part of the Dance team of my hall, a proud member actually.. hee.. about a month ago, i was assigned into the Jazz part (i.e. to dance jazz during ICN) with much apprehension n stuff, the rest of the team n i started the training and all.. had some hiccups here n there, but its ok, we all learn from our mistakes..

finally tonite was the nite.. all the dancers gave our best during the performance, and we were pretty much rewarded by the applause and accolades of the audience.. YAY!

juz reviewed our dance which was taped down on video, our jazzy part is quite neat and synchronized.. Great job by fen n wanzi for the choreography and the training for us, and all the dancers who made this possible.. n congrats too.. YAY!!

beginning to enjoy dance more.. hee.. though i'm definitely not one of the better dancers, i guess being able to enjoy myself was n is going to keep me going.. YAY!!!

YAY-ing away, with an interview later at 8am.. (OMG..) haha..

does it work dis way:

being straight-forward ---> frank ---> trust-worthy ?!?!

personally, i can be identified with tat.. becos to be trust-worthy, my frens have to be frank wif me.. no hidden agenda, no hidden feelings.. (of cos, u get to keep the darkest secrets to urself, having said tat, i'm still more willing to hear it if u r willing to share..)

and someone who is straight-forward is frank.. i mean, he/she can't hide his/her feelings, hence gotta b someone who shows his/her cards on the table, which sometimes leads to being someone trust-worthy

however, laying down ur cards doesn't mean there isn't a sword under the table.. hmm, sounds contradicting?!?!.. in all, i tink the equation leads to:

straight-forward ---> frank <--- trust-worthy

therefore, frens, shd be frank with each other, i guess.. if u r not, dun bother TRYING, cos it makes things even more fake.. yar, it doesn't help, dun bother, PLS..

LiFe'S @ cYcLE?!?!

to the people out there who are concerned, i'm really ok.. haha.. Lost?!?! well, recently alot of my frens hav been say this to me :"wa, baolai, u look damn shag leh.. R u ok??" and as always, my reply :" yar, i'm ok, juz lack of sleep.."

Yar, ya c, with everyday of 3-4hours of sleep (dozing off in lecture doesn't count!) i entered a severe sleep debt.. as i try my very best not to skip classes, i simply lose to the Z monster and doze off, meeting my dream girl etc ( i shall not go into that)..

however, juz dis 2 days, plus the coming weekend, i'm going to reward myself with alot alot of proper sleep, AT HOME!!! (hee, doesn't tat explain how long i've not been at home?!?! sorry mum) so yar, bye to sleep debt, i paid u, and planning to pay u in advance tonite..

having said tat, i'm typing dis while waiting for my laundry to be done.. haha.. n me juz came back from morning swim plus afternoon floorball training..

I'M PHYSICALLY DRAINED!!!

did i juz STATE tat life's a cycle?! yes i did, somewhere.. yar.. so life's a cycle.. as soon as i repaid my sleep debtor, i start owing my oxygen debtor.. muscles on a oxygen debt with all the excess lactic acid produced while i exercise the whole 6 hours!!! isn't it amazing how powerful ur body can get?!?! juz food for thought..
