wat best way to end the yr, to mark the yr i am re-starting to work??

but oh wellz, will use the silent time to tink of how i hav managed my life for the past 1 yr.. good things, bad stuff, happy moments, disappointing times, all in the blink of an eye..

i will get stronger, ONLY..

all over again

not tat i am complaining, in fact i enjoy doing events.. haha..

kinda started small in secondary 2 when i took over the class monitor's role, and started organising class outings and stuff..

den sec 3 i tink i was re-elected as class chairman (yar, a switch in nomenclature) and sec 4 switched to "social IC" and focus on events organising..

jc was quite a flop, oni get the class to go library.. the studious ones are there to study, while the hapz ones were there to sleep! hahahah.. ehh, aircon lehh.. hahah..

den army times, i guess there wasnt really time for recreation..

uni, hall-life was shiok, and i was in the block committee in yr2, in charge of all the blk suppers here n there, everywhere.. hahha..

now work, its kinda natural for me to take up such roles, and i havta say after facing some firewalls, i am now really familiar with all the work processes to get things paid via different channels, and getting it done without beating ard the bush..

last few days was quite exciting.. the event wasn't confirmed until on thursday morning itself!! hence with the 10 000 calls i made, and coordination, it was set in stone n cast and pushed out on friday itself!! whoaaa. the fact tat i was on duty on thurs nite din help..

and so i tot.. but in the end, its the shift tat made it REALLY possible for me.. all the miscellaneous jobs are taken care of by pearly, joann, eric and vincent (extra help).. so i could do up the slides, and they even sacrificed sleep to brainstorm with me!!!

glad tat the event was rather successful, and hope everyone enjoyed it as much as i did..

shall jiayou and complete all subsequent events smoothly, and successfully..

last but not least, thanks to all the pple who offered help, u guys are the source of energy, the tint of motivation, and are simply the best..

thurs, car accident..

fri, course ended.. best trainee in terms of score, but nothing in recognition.. no distinction as there was none given in history.. if not.. grrrr..

sat, won some money..

sun, ATTEMPTED marathon, ran until 18km, walked to 31km, and took cab!! haha.. timing from the marathon thingy, 1hr 04mins @ 10km mark, 2hr 40mins @ 21km mark.. tats abt it.. hahahah..

mon, started work again, practically limbed my way ard.. so embarrassing..

tue, OFF.. shiokz..

lots of ups and downs over the past few days.. i hope it will oni continue to be good..

medications

suffered from flu since last week.. tot after some rest, it will auto get better, den i'll be up and running again..

BUT after the weekend, it seem to hav gotten worse.. and a trip to the doctor is essential..

to my shock, it cost 58buckaroos lah!! juz for simple flu with inflammed throat, cough and phlegm problem..

and the phlegm horrr, i tot i saw traces of blood as i was coughing and ALMOST threw my lungs out.. sighhhh..

did i mention tat i was slapped with 6 different medications already?! @.@

on course now, and the skool is fitted with pool and gym but there is like unlimited food @ teabreaks and lunches, all catered for..

so bascially i find myself going to the pool and gym pretty often during lunch or after lessons.. decided to take some pics by the pool.. haha..

the thing is, i am normally the ONLY user of such facilities in the skool, tats y i dare to take the photos..hurhur..

emo-ing by the pool side.. i need a lomo to capture the essence lah.. hai.. too bad, no money to own one..

getting out of the pool.. actually, to pose for dis, i was going in!! hahahaah..

went to tampines courts+ikea+giant with my coursemates from spore, malaysia, nigeria and seychelles..

den got so sad.. glad everything worked out (kinda) after the long weekend..

fri worked, and 5hrs of badminton actions!!! whahaha..

sat was spent sleeping, and preparing for jiayong's big day.. so glad that he n zairu tied the knots.. i could really feel the bliss between the 2 of them, n nearly teared at the video of the wooing process, and at zairu's speech.. cos jiayong did share the major issues of their R/S, and i could totally feel wat took place, the process of them grwoing together, and its really close to my heart tat the 2 of them r proceeding to the next stage of their lives.. awwwwww.. seriously, for such close frens, its definitely worth the trouble of having to draw No.1 lah, prep lah and everything to make them look good on the very day.. (dis require another entry)

sun was ISTANA OPEN house!! and its my first time over at the president's house (of office i would say) with joe kevin n melvin.. the nite ended with a mahjong session over at my place, and joe kevin melvin n me actually all squeezed in my humble room for the nite..

den morning came, i sent them off, before getting my family to ECP for Tung Lok Seafood Dim Sum Buffet on monday brunch.. the quality of food and its variety dropped. but i guess the 33 per pax was worth it while..

good food followed by napping until dinner time! haha.. light serving of fried bee hoon, den it was TV n internet all the way..

now i need to find the "wanna sleep" feeling.. hahaha..

wat a weekend to forget the past nitemares.. =)

wat happened 5yrs ago, happened again, today!!

it was assured 5yrs ago that it starts afresh 5yrs later, and it wun happen again..

but it did.. and it was assured that 3yrs later, it will not happen again..

den shall go all out for good (cheap) hawker food tat i miss so so much!!! hahahaah.. wat to do, 750bucks gone into cleaning, x-ray, surgery, extraction, medicine..

oh well, its not the first time i extract liao.. 2yrs back on the right, now the left.. it oni scary thing of the whole process was to inject the anesthetic.. den no feeling liao, all the way to the lips.. bottom one, was saw-saw-saw (like 5minutes of sawing lah), den broken into 2 pieces.. den pulled out.. yeshhh, micro-surgery.. den the top one, juz 3seconds of brutal pulling downwards to get it out!! hahah.. its quite amazing isn't it?! hurhur..

i manage to take a pic of the x-ray of my bottom wisdom tooth, BUT i am facing huge problem with blogger.com and the new I.E interface i downloaded.. grrrrr..

i tink this is the difference between working n studying..

when i was in NUS, all i did was to study(not), do all foolish stuff like making doortags, running ard making neighbours do stupid things, chat, visit the rooftop, suppering, IBG, IHG, DnD, dating game, formal hall dinners, nite cycling, overnite trash talks n planting surprises for pple.. and every event is special n unique and i wanna blog them down to make sure that i dun forget them, and keep them alive in my memory..

now tat i am working.. everything i do seem ordinary n monotonous, and i can repeat them anytime i want it, eating out, clubbing, drinking, taking a spin in my car, movie, shopping, paying fines n bills at AXN machines.. and i dun see a need for me to record them down.. cos its a cycle.. it juz keeps coming back..

hence the HUGE reduction in blogging entries..

but i will continue blogging.. i tink, my life, much of it is still ALIVE!! haha..

watched many movies of late.. GI JOE (fantastic), BRUNO (sick like BORAT), UP (intrique, sets me tinking alot, n deeply), the proposal (my kind of movie).. i tink, there is still an industry for movie makers.. =)

retrospect - my grades..

not too bad.. all within expectation.. i know wat i can score in and wat i cannot.. hurhur..all the module codes and stuff, not like u pple will understand.. haha.. so shall describe along the way..

here we go..my FYP is a FAILED project tat i actually worked on.. half the time the machine was spoilt and i cannot proceed.. by the time it was repaired, my US strawberries acutally went OUT OF SEASON!!! omg u would say.. i tot so too.. but hearsay tat my prof anyhow aso give A one.. so i juz based it on TAT belief, and submitted a half-pass-six report.. in the end A-.. whahahaha.. *happy for myself of cos*

my Design II is one whereby the chem engineers group ourselves into groups of 7 and do individual units for a plant, and assemble them together n make sure tat the flow is consistent with the desired products as stated in our problem statement.. i did my part half-pass-six-ly AGAIN.. haha.. cos the time line wasn't very favourable as i was putting my heart into solving my FYP machine problem.. the end result, B.. heng i din spend a hell lot of time on it.. haha.. cos i gather tat its hard to push for an A in dis setting.. =)

took another chem eng module, FOOD TECH.. half memory half calculations module.. without my dear floorball-cum-chem eng-fren, i would hav failed at midterms TERRIBLY.. tats when i realise i forgot ALL MY MATHS le!!! haha.. panic like hell.. exams, still chui.. BUT as usual, i kinda expected it le, and glad i passed it.. D+.. hahaha.. 2nd D in NUS.. hahah..

i took aso, a ja-pa-lang IT module.. mcq and short answers for final exam.. open book.. so basically its copy and paste into exam paper oni.. alot of qn, so its a matter of who copy the fastest.. hahah..B+.. nothing interesting.. juz din manage to copy faster den the rest..

hahah..tats all for now.. semester CAP is 3.7 again (like all semesters in yr 2 and 3)..

2nd lower as expected.. no surprises no shame no regrets no nothing.. i did all i can, all i wanted, and enjoyed dis 4 years fully..

ohhh, checked results with another 2 frens.. had a fren who scored 4As and 1B to pull himself up to 2nd upper (and tat made me the lowest in my batch of peers working in the same organisation).. the other had 4.74 BUT he got B+ for his FYP, so he missed out on 1st class, can oni settle for 2nd upper.. one happy one sad, and me, nonchalant..

now i look forward to my paycheck.. hurhur..

dun like to sleep

i hate going to sleep nowadays..

for i know that when i wake up the next morning, i will experience an excruciating pain on my right elbow.. the pain will gradually subside as the day pass..

believed to be some injury sustained during floorball.. and made worst when i missed the step and fell while trying to board the bus 2 weeks back..

now the pain is recurrent EVERY MORNING when i wake up..

i used to love sleeping.. but to skip the pain, i rather not sleep..

last exam

last exam in nus liao.. dis time, juz 2 papers, a HUGE difference from the usual 5-6 papers i used to hav compared to yr 1 or 2.. haha.. but, tat doesnt mean i am more motivated to study..

"u r like the most hardworking FYF ard lah, still come library study".. haha.. i wish.. cos i hav been SO slack for the entire sem, if i dun study ABIT, i tink i am a goner dis exam!! haha..

ok, back to topic of COMMAND 2009.. yesshhh, the much anticipated performance of the year tat i was talking about.. i did the opening dance (which is compulsory for all involved), as well as the finale dance..

in short, i really enjoyed myself on tat nite, my stay in KR for the past 3 yrs.. other den the frens tat i made over the yrs, COMMAND nite will be 1 particular day tat i will remember KR forever..

last 5 nites and before..

some nites last week.. including the past 5 nites, i hav been dancing my nites away..

yeshh, for COMMAND 09.. the event-of-the-yr where all final years will come together to put up a performance for the entire hall..

was very enthu abt it after coming back from exchange last yr.. but as the day approaches, actually feeling contradicting emotions abt it..

its really the end of the hall journey, yet its something tat every final yr looked forward to.. and when it comes, we might not want it to end so fast, so soon..

hmmm, cant really express my feeling out in words.. mayb cos my engLAND sux.. haha.. but i tink dis kinda feeling, oni final years will understand de lah.. haha.. its the "i want it, but i dowan it at the same time" type of feeling.. haha.. COMPLICATED... yeshhhh.. hahah..

doing the opening dance and the finale dance oni.. due to the lack of enthu. when the preparation started, i oni signed up for the finale dance, and the opening dance involves all final years doing command.. HOW I WISH I HAV SIGNED UP FOR BAND.. and satisfy my rocker-wannabe-desire for juz once!!!!!

wow.. without blogging much in the month of march, the entire month is ALMOST over!! haha.. sorry readers.. but yar, not like there r many left.. haha..

din mean to store dis blog in cold storage or wat de lah.. was really busy with my FYP presentation followed by the mad rush to complete my designII report.. (which, is not 100% den after much rushing.. haha..) i tink my personal standards hav fallen much!! hee..

but it wasn't too bad.. for i actually managed to play majong twice, when for fren's bdae celebration at ritz, watched "watchman", "marley and me", "push", "chunli" and "confession of a shopaholic"..

din really like "watchman", "push" and "chunli" lah.. heng "confession of a shopaholic" made it all up.. else, i tink the movies industries will SUFFER big time.. haha..

economic recession, everyone seem to be spending less, except for me!! haha.. been eating pretty good food - mayim lah, dragon gate lah, sakae sushi lah.. hmm.. time to save up for something BIG coming up..

tues n wed took a breather n caught 2 movies.. hehe.. marley n me, and push.. very different genre i noe.. me being the emolomo me, of cos prefer the marley n me lah.. haha.. and stupid push got no ending!!! grrrr.. need to wait for push 2 de lah.. kns.. !@#$%


thurs was D-day.. was questioned by moderators with stuff tat i dunnoe how to answer.. like "i dun understand y ur objectives are as such.. u know the industrial standards, no one does it dis way wat.."

fri was the mass-orgy general poster presentation for the entire cohort.. i reach on time to mingle mingle abit den left liao.. haha.. political reason i gave - not feeling well.. real reason - waliew, so bored lah.. not like there is anything for me lor.. its like a show oni lor.. and, i dun really like to be part of it.. hahaha.. left to meet joe for sakae sushi tea-time buffet, shopped vivo and met CK n frens for catching up along with some drinks..

DUN TELL PPLE I K.O. with juz 1.5 glass of house white.. whahahaah.. i had fun though.. catching up with the gang, and thanks to paul for the ride to the far west to makan the super-nice nasi lemak at taman jurong!! haha.. den went back hall to rest for sat.. deliberated very long, and decided not to join the NUS Saints anymore.. tats abt it for my floorball passion.. haha..



sat nite when to yishun-sembawang with my family for dis famous thai-food stall in some industrial park which serves freaking cheap yet tasty thai food lah.. had non-spicy phad thai, pineapple rice, fried fish, sweet n sour pork, asparagus, tomyam soup, oni 56bucks for all 5 of us lah!!! haha.. cheap cheap..



den proceeded to find joe to meet up when back hall to pick up some stuff from hall den go meet mel n jim at jim's place for majong.. *interesting interesting* tats for another post!! haha..

long time

wow.. its been quite awhile since i last blog.. haha..

hmm, nothing interesting seem to be going on in my life lah.. so yar, less blogging... haha..

its very very amazing how time flies.. juz lidat and 2 more months and i will be graduating and on my way to build a CAREER.. very fast very fast..

suddenly it seems tat i haven enjoyed enough..

getting involved in MANY MANY hall activities in yr 1.. joining IVP Floorball since yr1.. switching hall in yr2 and getting used to the whole new culture.. mugging like there is no tmr in my earlier yrs in uni.. getting in and out of relationships, be in flings or serious business.. playing IHG seriously with KR and coaching the hall's girls' team as well.. flying off to japan with floorball teammates.. first snowy winter overseas in japan and playing floorball with the japanese dudes.. planning and flying off to denmark for 5months on student exchange programme there.. falling in love with gymming in denmark cos any outdoor activities seem too cold.. travelled 10 countries and 20 over cities in europe during my stay in europe.. missing spore really deeply and coming back to find my sense of belonging.. late nite supper and insufficient sleeps in hall, yet the convenience to wake up late and STILL in time for lectures.. convenience of not having to squeeze with 10 000 commuters on trains and buses due to the morning office crowd.. pool, gym and court facilities readily available for use anytime in NUS.. getting used to stereo blasting at my ears and STILL going for regular dosages of music, booze and fun with the gang..

i must say i HAVE to be contented with uni life dun i?!?! hee..

but, now tat i am graduating SOON, wats gonna happen to me?!?!

2009 - a short post

counting down was fun, especially with great company and exciting music..

*with the "days" pple ready for the countdown.. i dunnoe where did the courage come from, but we actually bought the tees together in bangkok and wore it for countdown.. all in the name of fun.. haha..*

getting home was not fun at all..

cabs are either on-call or WAITING to be on-call..

cab companies NOT picking up call-ins NOT helping.. picked up but no cabs bidding for ur calls, NOT helping..

had to take NR to get out of town area..

went to stayover at fren's place, and oni reached at 4.30 when we left for supper at 2am and started waiting for cab since 2.30..

slept half of first day of 2009 away.. woke up at 2ish in the afternoon.. whahaah.. getting to sleep all tat i want to without being nagged at, sounds like a great start to 2009 isn't it?!?!
