Gathering @ Nigel's

yay, its the almost bi-annual gathering of my coursemates at nigel's house today!


the special thing abt dis time is, partners are encouraged to be brought down for the gathering.. haha.. its actually a suggestion by nigel cos he wanna see our partners lah, and get to know abt each other better! haha..


nigel with the pizza, kel n gel with sushi, jiayong with chicken wings, me n huiyian with drinks and chocolate fondue, weekiat came empty handed (i told him to lah, cos he will come late mah, and there is enough liao, so no point to bring food ..).. haha..


its a small gathering, but really time well spent at the pouch area in fron of his house, under the starry nite.. haha.. always like to tok to dis bunch of frens i knew from army.. its really cool we r still in contact, and i am sure we will be there for each other!

i brought along my newly bought camera, BUT forgot to take a group photo!!! haha.. sian rite?!?! tok tok tok until forget lah.. sianz.. haha.. oni took a pic of how huge the strawberries are from pasir panjang tat huiyian's colleagues bought for her.. haha.. its, palm size huge!! (not my palm lah, huiyian's palm probably.. haha..)

My 23rd Bdae!

yap, its tat time of the month.. wasn't expecting anything big lah.. haha.. 23 times liao.. so yar.. its the company tat matters more isn't it.. hee..

she planned the dinner, went to my secret garden.. ard bugis area.. i checked the place (online) b4.. suppose to be dis damn cool ambience place with good food..

verdict : place wasn't cool at all, cos happen to hav renovation now!!! haha.. nvm lah.. now we know.. haha.. the food, ok oni lah.. nothing great abt it.. service, erm, can be better, cos i literally cannot understand 50% of wat those foreigner waiters n waitress were saying.. haha.. so yar, its not tat nice afterall.. tink its really the renovation tat tat killed the place man.. damn, wrong time to go.. haha..

but still, we had a great time together there.. toking without the buze of life, with occasional fighter planes zooming above us doing their NDP Flypast Rehearsals..

thanks for the gift as well.. the boardshorts r ver nice and fitting.. cant really eat all the choc though, cos its too heaty for me, the boi who was not so well (again).. haha.. so give quite afew of them to my mum to eat.. haha.. but dun worry, i appreciate it dear!

Pulau Sibu Kelong Fishing

after the march 2005 outing to p.sibu for fishing, i tot tat would mark the one n oni one fishing experience i would ever hav in my life.. guess i am wrong!

june 2007, after a very casual suggestion to me colleagues-cum-frens for them to go kelong fishing as their training course gathering, they really decided to hold it, and asked me to join them in the fun! haha.. i kindly accepted their invite, since they shifted the trip to the oni weekend tat i could make it, and i was sure its gonna be DAMN FUN de lah!!

yap, as expected, kelong fishing is really quite fun de!! haha.. fish, tan, play texas hold'em, fish, play texas hold'em, and tat wraps the entire trip! haha.. of cos there are other things like KTV, or carrom, or majong.. but cos too many entertainment liao, so we juz stick to the same few that we enjoy doing most! hee..

i tink its more like a personal choice.. if one is forever going to have the same mentality, and inflexible, den he is probably those use stranger anxiety to keep himself away and "safe".. too safe, mayb..

anyway, below is the oni pic i took there with mt N70.. notice the patch of raining clouds in the middle?! haha.. dis is wat "isolated showers n thunderstorm" really meant when u hear the weather report over radio or tv.. haha..

4/4 BBQ

yes, we R a great class.. 3/4 1999, 4/4 2000.. it has been 9 yrs running liao.. every yr or every other yr without fail, we will hav some kinda big class gathering.. 2 yrs ago, was like the gathering at my big O 21st bdae chalet at changi.. 22 pple turned up from my sec 3 -4 class! hee.. dis yr, maggie organised a class bbq lor.. den we go amk some town council bbq pit and started the gathering..

got 21 pple, not badz not badz.. see see chat chat, found out that no one changed! haha.. probably the most drastic physical change was seen from guowei lah, cos he like kanna stretched vertically, and now, DAMN TALL lah.. so envious of his height.. sian.. haha.. and the most drastic mental change probably came from me! haha.. i tink i hav become more cheng shu wen zhong (i.e. more matured and stable) liao.. haha.. not like trying to blow my own trumpet.. but i do find myself SO childish in the past lah, dun u all agree?? haha.. see now, i serving the nation somemore, how not to grow up?! hahah.. but yar, the take away is THERE ARE REALLY NOT MUCH CHANGES.. we, are still WE..

Farewell Dinner

Had a branch farewell dinner for 2 of our SOs leaving our branch.. yar, like 2 out of the 4 SOs in the office.. haha.. tats like a crippled department man.. den happen got 2 POs go in, so help out quite abit lah.. those ad-hoc events we ta lor.. haha..

anyway, the dinner was at Fullerton Hotel (yap, fullerton again for the many times in 1 month tat i happen to visit it, be it juz the toilet or the restuarant.. hahaahah), at the TOWN Restuarant.. wa, the food was super good lah.. fresh and tasty, coupled with superb service and serene ambience to call it a great nite..

something bad, its on a mon nite, so we all hav to wake the every next day! DANGG.. hahaah..

oh, btw, i LOVE the nite-view of Fullerton Hotel from Sheares Bridge man.. its SO SO nice! one day i will get a damn cool pic of it, at nite, under the clear starry sky! haha..

Vesak Day

no lah, i dun celebrate it.. haha..

but it fell on a thurs, so i took one day leave on fri to make it a supper long weekend for me! weee~~

at first wanted to juz nua the day away and rest at home.. haha.. but in the end, change of plans. or rather a totaly change!

morning went to K-box with weijing and co., den rush off to meet peter for gym in the afternoon, den rush off to meet huiyian for Shrek 3 at The Cathay, ending it off with a supper at lao di fang, CASUARINA PRATA!

woohoo~ wat a perfect day to spend my leave.. haha.. i am so glad i din choose to sleep at home.. haha..
